How it works
One layer. Two jobs.
Inside every Onni London+ mattress is a comfort layer you can reach. Unzip the cover and lift it out. That is possible because the mattress is hand-assembled rather than pressed and sealed, and it is what keeps the bed feeling new for years.
On arrival: turn it for the feel you want.
The layer has two sides, Medium and Medium firm, and ships Medium firm side up. If you would like it softer, unzip the cover, turn the layer over and zip it up. Two minutes, no tools, and you can change your mind at any point during the year.
Years on: replace it and the bed is new again.
The comfort layer is the part of any mattress that wears. Ours is designed to be replaced. Around year 5, and again around year 10, swap in a new layer for about £299 and the mattress underneath, which has years left in it, feels as it did on day 1. Two layers over 10 years costs less than one cheaper bed replaced twice, and sends far less to landfill.
It arrives compressed. We do not leave it that way.
Roll packing gets it up the stairs. It is not how it should be left.

Bed sizes vary between manufacturers. Always trust the centimetre dimensions, not the name on the label.

Strip the sheets. Measure the mattress itself - width × length - with a tape in centimetres. Do not measure the outer bed frame or headboard.

If you are buying for a new bed, measure the usable bed base or slatted area (inside the rails). That is the footprint your mattress must fill.

The feel
Medium to medium firm, and you choose which. Most people want a mattress in that range, so that is where we built ours.
Turn the comfort layer over and it moves between the two. If you want to go further in either direction, a soft or firm comfort layer will take you there.

The flip changes the whole mattress, not one side of it, so you will need to agree. Most couples find one setting works once they have both slept on it for a fortnight. If you cannot agree, tell us within your 100 nights and we will collect it and refund you in full.
Much less than on a conventional sprung mattress. Every spring is individually wrapped in its own pocket, so it compresses on its own rather than pulling its neighbours with it. Add 10cm of foam above that and most movement is absorbed before it reaches you.
It is not complete isolation - no sprung mattress is - but if you are currently woken every time your partner turns over, this will be a noticeable change.

Because nothing is made until you order it. Your mattress is built to your chosen size. This is how made-to-order furniture works - the same wait you would expect from a bespoke sofa. Many orders arrive sooner.

We give a delivery window rather than a single date because international freight can move. If we are going to miss the window we will tell you before you find out, and you can cancel for a full refund at any point before dispatch.
Close, but not identical. Every mattress is hand-assembled and fabrics are sourced in batches, so the shade of the cover or the side panel can vary very slightly between runs. It is the same difference you would see between two lengths of the same cloth.
What never varies is what is inside it. The spring unit, the comfort layers, the depth, the firmness and the construction are identical in every mattress we make, to the same specification.

You have a year with us. Feel is discovered over months of use. If it is not right, we send the layer that takes you there, and you keep it, with our compliments. If that still does not settle it, we collect the mattress and refund you in full.
